Staats Battle

Hello everyone! My name is Staats Battle and I am from Raleigh, North Carolina. I attended North Carolina State University where I played basketball for four years and earned a BSc degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Basketball has been a tremendous avenue in my life that has led to lifelong friendships and opened doors. It taught me how to be a leader, a selfless teammate and the need to develop a strong work ethic.

I am honoured to be a #VICTORY scholar in Ireland where I will be able to give back to the sport that has done so much for me. Through Sport Changes Life, I will be able to mentor and encourage Ireland’s youth by instilling confidence, helping them achieve success. I look forward to earning a MSc degree in Financial Services at the University of Limerick plus the chance to continue my basketball playing career. I am thrilled at the thought of a year of continuing my education, playing the sport I love, and helping others.
